East Carolina practiced in Greenville this morning for the first time since returning from Florida after Hurricane Florence and the loss to USF.

“It was great to practice again in Greenville,” said 3rd year Pirate Coach Scottie Montgomery.

The Pirates went through a crisp, two hour workout Tuesday without starting quarterback Reid Herring. Herring suffered an ankle injury last week and could not go to start the week.

“He’ll have to practice tomorrow in order to start on Saturday,” said Montgomery. “If he can’t go then we’ll make a choice between Kingsley Ifedi and Holton Ahlers later in the week.”

The Pirates host Old Dominion for only the second time ever this Saturday. The Monarchs stunned the football world with their 49-35 win over (13) Virginia Tech last week.
