East Carolina hit the field bright and early this morning at 10am to open this Thursday day of practices for the upcoming NCAA Greenville Regional.
The Pirates worked out for just over an hour under sunny skies and with lots of humidity.
“I think we’re ready to go,” said Pirate coach Cliff Godwin afterwards. “I’ve been really happy with the ticket sales this week and we look forward to a great home field advantage this weekend.”
South Carolina worked out next, followed by Ohio State and then UNC Wilmington.
“We’re glad to be here,” said longtime Seahawks’ Coach Mark Scalf. “Our guys are looking forward to playing.”
(3) Ohio State battles (2) South Carolina in the opener on Friday at 2pm. That game will be followed by (4) UNC Wilmington and (1) East Carolina at 7pm.
