UNC Wilmington got off to a fast start and never looked back in beating East Carolina, 95-86 Tuesday night at Trask Coliseum. Jeantal Cylla scored 20 points and Kai Toews added 16 in the victory. 

The Seahawks improve to 4-4 with the win. The Pirates fall to 4-4 with the loss. 

Freshman Jayden Gardner scored a game high 30 points and hauled in 15 rebounds for ECU, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
