Sawyer heads to Columbia and leads late Rose signings

JH Rose offensive lineman David Sawyer inked his National Letter of Intent with Columbia University to lead several signings at the school on Tuesday.

“I love football,” said Sawyer. “This gives me a chance to play and to get an Ivy League education. I can’t wait.”

McKinsley Walter and April Zeng both signed to play soccer in college. Walter is headed to Bridgewater College in Virginia, while Zen will play at Haverford College in Pennsylvania.

Carter Rains also signed to play golf at Southern Wesleyan.
