Jaguars wrap up perfect season with 2A state title

Justin Wright scored 23 points and hauled in 8 rebounds to lead Farmville Central to an 86-71 win over defending champion Forest Hills in the 2A state championship game. 

Forest Hills opened the game on a 10-2 run, but the Jaguars roared back with a 21-3 run of their own to take control of the game. 

The state title is the fifth in Farmville Central’s school history. It’s the Jaguars second state championship in the last four years.
