South Central’s boys and girls were easy winners over Southern Wayne in Eastern Carolina 3A/4A play Wednesday night.
The Falcon boys were playing their first game since being ranked nationally by the USA Today. South Central raced past Southern Wayne, 78-39.
Shykeim Phillips led the way with 22 points. Day’ron Sharpe chipped in 15 for the victorious Falcons.
South Central is 11-1 on the season.
The South Central girls also won in a blowout, 68-41 over the Saints.
