FARMVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The start of the high school football season is just around the corner.

As teams wrap up their fall workouts and prepare to play under the Friday night lights, 9OYS is checking in with local coaches to learn more about what we can expect from Eastern North Carolina teams this year.

At Farmville Central, it’s year two of Ron Cook as the head coach. Cook is working to put his style of play into position as his team prepares for another season in the always tough Eastern Plains Conference.

Cook spoke about how practices have gone, having a junior varsity football program for the first time in around a decade and how the attitude has been toward developing a winning program again for the Jaguars.
