GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — If you missed the chance to see the high school football teams from Eastern North Carolina play Friday night because of the Thanksgiving holiday … you’re in luck.
Each of the teams in the WNCT coverage area picked up victories in Friday’s fourth round of the NC High School Athletic Association state playoffs. Next Friday, four of those teams will be hosting games in their respective classification’s Eastern Regional final. The winner of those games advances to the state championships, slated for Dec. 9-10.
New Bern, Northern Nash, East Duplin, Wallace-Rose Hill, Rosewood and Tarboro each picked up victories to advance to their respective classification’s Eastern Regional final. The only team in the area to fall was Princeton, which was beaten by Wallace-Rose Hill.
