GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The high school football regular season is complete. Now come the state playoffs.

Week 11 wrapped up in another dramatic fashion on Friday. J.H. Rose won in overtime against Havelock to lock up the No. 1 seed among 3-A schools in the Big Carolina Conference. Washington topped SouthWest Edgecombe to lock up the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Plains Conference.

Now comes the waiting game. Which teams will get into the postseason and which will be left out. With four classifications of the postseason instead of eight as has been the case for years, playoff spots will run out quickly.

The NC High School Athletic Association will announce the playoff brackets on Saturday.

Tune in to Touchdown Friday at 11:05 p.m. for all the scores, highlights and even a historic coin flip of sorts.
