A man who was wanted in connection to an armed robbery in Jacksonville has been arrested.

Antonio Fernandez was captured Monday by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Round Rock, Texas.

He is being held on no bond awaiting extradition to Onslow County. 

Jose A. Rojas, 22, of Jacksonville, had already been arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The armed robbery occurred on April 1 in the parking lot of Willies Mart located on Freedom Highway in Jacksonville.

The suspects held the victims at gunpoint at Willies Mart and demanded money, deputies said.

Deputies said one of the victims was struck with a pistol by one of the suspects.

The Sheriff’s Office said an investigation revealed Rojas and Fernandez were responsible for the robbery.

A shot was fired into the ground during the incident, deputies said.

Rojas was sent to the Onslow County Detention Center and was given a $200,000 bond.
